The young Libyan Mohamed El Hadi EL KAWISAH Achieves an encouraging result in the Grand Prix of Baku

The African Continental Union of Judo was represented to the Grand Prix of Baku 5-6 may 2012, by two young athletes in the categories of-60kg and 66kg. If, the competitor EL KAWAZEH Ahmed Youcef-66kg lost in the first round against MUMINOV Hamidjon from Uzbekistan, his young brother Mohamed El Hadi-60kg achieved a quite encouraging result after winning his first round against the turkish AKGUN Onur by scoring two waza-ari. He would have been able to reach the final block if he had not been defeated in the second round by MESABLISHVILI from Georgia, by collecting two shido. He will thus content himself with a bronze medal in consideration of the good performance that he exhibited. For information, EL KAWASEH Mohamed El Hadi has just come back from Japan after a 20 days training camp. This result is quite positive at the eve for the next Olympics of London. It is worth pointing that Mohamed El Hadi won the African title in 2011. For the last Senior African Championship which was held last month in Agadir he was ranked 5th.
