The third day of the World championships of Agadir

The third day of the World championships of Agadir was dedicated to the categories of -60 and -70kg for the girls and -81 and -90 kg for the boys. Four Moroccans, a Tunisian, a Malagasy and one South African took part in the competitions to represent The African Union of Judo. BOUOULID IDRISSI Rajae from Morocco was registered in the category of-60kg. She won the first fight against PRETORIUS Esmarie from South Africa but was unable to overcome her next opponent LEONORA Jaime Lee from the Netherlands. Many hopes were put on the Tunisian girl BJAOUI Asma for a better performance. This last one achieved the same score as the Moroccan. She lost in the 2nd round against the Chinese ZHENG Jialing.

On the side the boys 4 athletes were engaged in the championships. The Malagasy RATSIMIZIVA Fetra made a very encouraging result. He left the competition after losing against he Japanese TOYODA Jun, at the conclusion of the 4th fight. The only African engaged in the category of -90kg was BANSA Ibrahim from Morocco, the organizing country. Unfortunately he did not pass his qualifying test to the second round.
